WATER SPORTS IN INDIA –DANDELI

Water sports in india is increasingly becoming popular these days. I am introducing a lesser known place dandeli in this post. DANDELI is a city in uttar kannnada district of karnataka state, india. this place is situated in Western Ghats , on the banks of river Kali, India. dandeli is well known for its teak plantations and dense forests. The Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary is home to many black panthers, monkeys and elephants. one can notice various types of birds species flying, a really good place for bird watchers.

there is a famous Kavala Cave which forms a good place for a day trek and only 25 kms away from Dandeli. there is a temple at the entrance to this cave.This place is famous for river rafting in Kali. Kali river has a stretch of 12 kms and gives the same experience to the rafters as they get in northern area of rishikesh and ladakh.
