The Jagannath temple is dedicated to bhagwan Jagannath, a form of lord vishnu .He is established and worshipped here with his brother Balbhadra bhagwan and sister Devi Subhadra.This temple is situated in Puri district of Orissa.it holds very high importance amongst hindus because it is one of the char dham pilgrimages.The annual Rath Yatra is a highlighted fact about this temple which take place in the month of july .All three deities of temple are pulled on huge decorated Rath , they cover certain distance and then bring back to temple in a pre decided muhurat by pandits. This attracts high number of pilgrims in july season.
